InterX Therapy, in addition to standard post-operative rehabilitative care, repeatedly demonstrates improved clinical outcomes. Trials
recently completed support early findings which showed reduced pain and increased range of motion resulting in shorter inpatient lengths
of stay. Recent findings include:
- Reduced circumferential measured edema of the ankle of 20mm in the treated group, vs 7mm in control group after 10 days(1)
- Voluntary Ongoing reductions in medication intake throughout the inpatient stay(1)
- Mean rehab days reduced from 10.22 to 7.29 in treated primary hip replacement patients with daily InterX Therapy and standard rehab(2)
The significantly better clinical outcomes reported in pain relief, increased ROM and functional status in these studies suggests that
InterX Therapy can play a valuable role in reducing healthcare costs associated with inpatient length of stay and post-surgical complications
in joint surgery patients. The findings of these studies warrant further efforts to evaluate the role of InterX Therapy as part of an integrated
rehabilitation strategy for this growing population of patients.
