InterX is confirmed as an important part of the rehabilitation program for England in the 2007 Rugby World Cup Tournament
Plano, Texas, USA - Neuro Resource Group (NRG), the manufacturer of InterX® products, announced that InterX products were included in the rehabilitation programs of several England rugby players in the Rugby World Cup Tournament in 2007.
Jason Robinson received InterX Therapy as part of his rehabilitation program following a hamstring injury during England's first game against South Africa in the World Cup tournament. Phil Pask, the Senior Physio for the England team for the last three Rugby World Cups, explains how he implemented InterX into his treatment protocol.
"I used InterX Therapy as part of our intensive rehabilitation program to see if we could get Jason back into the tournament. With a confirmed grade two hamstring tear, I expected that pain and inflammation would restrict the intensity of and progression through the rehabilitation process. However, using InterX, I was able to significantly reduce Jason’s nociceptive pain following the injury and facilitate an intensive manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation protocol which definitely optimized his recovery time. This injury would normally have a 4-6 week prognosis, but Jason was back in full training after three weeks which allowed him to play in the Quarter Final game against Australia – and ultimately England to progress through to the final".
Jason Robinson went on to play in the Semi-Final against France where he collected his 50th cap and in the Final against South Africa.

Plano, Texas - Neuro Resource Group (NRG), the manufacturer of InterX® products, announced the publication of a peer reviewed clinical trial in the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery (Br), Vol 89-B11, Issue 11.
The study examines the effect of interactive neurostimulation in the post operative recovery of patients with fracture of the femur. A random controlled trial (RCT) in a group of 60 patients provides outcome measurements of VAS pain, Brief Pain Inventory and an overall assessment of outcome by the surgeon. There were significantly better results for the patients receiving treatment with InterX® in addition to standard rehab care (repeated measures analysis of variance, P<.001).
Since its formation 2004, Neuro Resource Group (NRG) has been committed to investing its resources into the research of the effects and associated outcomes observed with InterX® Therapy as an adjunct to standard rehabilitation. A total of 8 random controlled trials (RCT) have already been completed and several more are in progress. A study that examines the 'influence of neurostimulation in a transected medial collateral ligament in sheep' was recently presented at the 6th Combined Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Society and is due to be published in 2008.
"We are excited about the findings of this study" said Sean Browne President and CEO of NRG. "This is one more significant clinical study that reinforces what thousands of patients tell us daily. This study further supports our mission of helping people redefine their expectations for an active life," said Browne.

| Alan Johnson and Brent Nalley had the edge over their competitors in one aspect at the recent Loretta Lynn National Amateur Motocross races held outside Nashville, Tennessee. They came in 9th and 13th respectively in the +30 Intermediate class and relied on their InterX devices to keep them fighting fit and tend to those irritating pains that result from such an intensive sport. Brent kept his chronic ankle injury in check, while Alan treated his shoulder using the new Flex Array pad - there is plenty to worry about when competing on the back of a high power motor cross bike, happily for Brent and Alan, nagging aches and pains were not amongst them! |

Despite the atrocious weather conditions, NRG managed to arrive in time for the start of the annual APTA show, which was held this year in Boston MA. The snow and ice did what it could to prevent the 1000s of Physical Therapists attending the show, but against all odds the show was confirmed as being the APTA's largest CSM ever.
NRG had their medical line of products with them, together with new details of recently completed clinical trials regarding the efficacy of InterX Therapy. The newly release clinical newsletter gave information on completed trials, as well as trials planned for the future.
As usual, the InterX booth proved very popular to those interested in this exciting new technology and also those who were happy to experience the benefit of InterX Therapy first hand; feet and shoulders were aching across the exhibition and we ended up relieving our fellow exhibitors, as well as our customers! The valentines shaped chocolate box also proved to be quite a hit. It seems all that walking and listening really builds up an appetite…….

Thomas C Thompson was a co-founder of the Medical Devices Manufacturers Association (MDMA) in 1992. He led the association for many years as its board chairman, successfully fighting several issues of significance to the health and medical device industry.
The association was founded as Mr. Thompson and others felt that the innovative and entrepreneurial segment of the medical device industry was not adequately represented in Washington DC; although companies with less than 100 employees constitute over 80% of US medical device companies.
MDMA and in particular Mr. Thompson is now recognized in Washington circles as a very influential force when it comes to policy and law effecting the medical industry.
The award was presented by Chris Chavez, past Chairman of MDMA and current President and CEO of Advanced Neuromodulation Systems, Inc. (ANSI) a St. Jude company.
The award states:
Thomas C Thompson: "In recognition of his tireless work to ensure a fair and balanced FDA user-fee program that allows medical device manufacturers to provide patients with innovative, effective products in a timely and efficient manner".
